Richard Brown, Managing Partner, Five Eight Holdings
Rich Brown was hooked on home renovation after a challenging, sleeves-up first project in 2011. The renewed property created enduring change in its neighborhood, and seeing this impact ignited a passion. He leads Five Eight Holdings as Managing Partner and invests in single and multi-family homes and rental properties for resale or rental.
Rich’s career spans work in the non-profit and business environments where he specialized in bringing together the right people for the right purpose. Prior to starting Five Eight Holdings, Rich was the Vice President of Investor Relations at the MetroHartford Alliance, a Partner at Adion Financial, and held various leadership roles at the Urban League of Greater Hartford including, Interim President and & CEO.
Rich, a UConn Alum (go Huskies), has always been community minded. He currently sits on the board of directors for Hartford’s Camp Courant, Hartford Foundation of Public Giving’s Board of Ambassadors and The Bissell Foundation. Former board positions include, Betty Knox Foundation, The Gathering Place, Our Piece of the Pie, Oak Hill, and Goodwin University Education Committee. Rich resides in Ellington with his partner Bonnie Malley and son Tyler.
