Mimi Gonzalez, Human Resource Specialist, Stanley Black and Decker
Mimi Gonzalez is a forward thinker who lives to discuss the undiscussable.
She is a Human Resources Specialist at Stanley Black & Decker, a film producer for Ten out of Ten Productions, and in her free time she loves doing Spoken Word and making candles. She holds a Masters in Organizational Psychology from the University of Hartford and is trained as a Diversity & Inclusion workshop facilitator.
She is passionate about driving organizational change through diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as leveraging the arts as a platform to empower voices in underrepresented groups. Through this work, she became a member of the 2019 Obama Foundation Community Leadership Corps which later brought her the opportunity to speak on a panel with Former President Barack Obama at the Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago. She is excited about her keynote at the RISE conference because it’s a valuable opportunity to discuss current challenges and how we can be resilient. During tumultuous times, it is important to remember that together we stand and divided we fall.
